Securities and Real Estate

To transfer securities or real estate, speak with your broker about completing a transfer form. 

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCD)

Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows IRA holders, age 72 or older, to donate to a qualified charity or non-profit from their Traditional or ROTH IRA (including inherited) tax-free. To complete a QCD, speak with your financial advisor or tax professional.   

Donor Advised Fund (DAF)

Donor Advised Funds are charitable giving accounts that allow donors to make contributions to a public charity and recommend grants to other charities over time. To donate from your DAF, speak with your fund representative. 

Retirement Funds, Life Insurance, and Bank Accounts

Naming Working Wheels as a beneficiary of your retirement plan (IRA, 401k), life insurance policy, or brokerage account is a generous way to make a gift “outside” of a will. Like a bequest, these gifts can help ensure the future of Working Wheels. These types of gifts can be easy to implement and giving retirement funds can be a tax-wise strategy for many donors.  Contact your plan or policy administrator for a change of beneficiary form for retirement and life insurance accounts. For bank or brokerage accounts, you will need to complete a transfer form with Working Wheels legal name, address, phone number, and tax I.D.

Will or Trust

If you would like to remember Working Wheels in your Will or Living Trust, please use our legal name, W4H Asheville.  Your attorney may find the following language helpful:

I hereby devise and bequeath (a dollar amount, or all or a percentage of the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate) to W4H Asheville, now or formerly located at 76 Weaverville Road, Asheville, NC 28804 for its general purposes.
