Greetings from Working Wheels,
As you know, the current Coronavirus situation is causing a lot of concern in WNC and around the world, and we want to be sure you know that Working Wheels is making plans to adjust to potential challenges and to help protect the wellbeing of our community.
As of today, Friday, March 13th, the Working Wheels office will be open by appointment only. We’ve taken this measure in the interest of promoting social distancing which is advised to slow the spread of the virus. Although at this time Working Wheels staff members are still working in the office and shop, we are developing contingency plans should we need to work from home.
We are implementing a no handshake policy at Working Wheels while COVID-19 remains a threat. Please do not shake hands with staff, volunteers or program participants. We recommend waving or verbally greeting people instead. Jazz hands are also an excellent option.
Please thoroughly and frequently wash your hands, and follow other guidance provided by the CDC around disease containment. We have hand sanitizer available at the office for your use, and we are disinfecting all office and bathroom surfaces multiple times daily.
Appointments for car donations or other matters can be made by calling 828-633-6888 or emailing info@workingwheelswnc.org.
Thank you for your support!
